This Privacy Policy describes how Creww collects, uses, and shares your information when you use the Creww iOS application (the “App”) and the related website at creww.au (the “Service”). It is written to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and applicable iOS App Store requirements.

If you share an invite link with a friend, we don’t collect their details until they accept the invite and create their own Creww account. The invite link is not personally identifying on its own.
We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not use your content for advertising or to train any machine-learning model.
Content you post into a crew (messages, photos, trades, bets, contributions, event details, RSVPs, check-in answers) is visible to other members of that crew. If you leave a crew, your historical messages may remain visible to members who were present when you posted them, until you or an admin deletes them. Owners can delete a crew, which removes all crew content.
We use the following third parties to operate the Service. Each is bound by their own privacy policy and standard data-processing terms:
We may disclose your information if we are required to do so by law, by valid legal process, or to protect the safety of users or the public. We will challenge requests we believe to be overly broad.
We keep your account information and content for as long as you maintain a Creww account. When you delete your account (via Settings → Delete Account), we remove your personal profile within 30 days. Backups containing this data may persist for up to 90 days before being permanently destroyed. Content you posted into a crew may remain visible to remaining members unless they or you delete it individually.
Anonymised crash diagnostics are retained by Sentry for up to 30 days then discarded.

We use HTTPS for all data in transit and at-rest encryption for stored data. Your authentication session is stored on your device in Apple’s secure Keychain, not in plain text. We use row-level security (RLS) on every database table so members of one crew cannot access another crew’s data, even by accident.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act.
Creww is rated 17+ on the App Store and is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your data is primarily stored in Sydney, Australia (Supabase ap-southeast-2 region). Some third-party processors (Sentry, RevenueCat, Vercel) may process information in the United States or Europe under standard contractual clauses. By using Creww you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in these locations.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via an in-app banner before the changes take effect, and the “Effective date” at the top of this page will be updated. Continuing to use Creww after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
